the soundtrack

I FORGOT THE MOVIE WAS GOING TO BE ON TONIGHT AND MISSED IT BUT I DID TURN IT OVER FOR A MINUTE IN THE MIDDLE AND HEARD A SONG WHILE ONE OF THE BROTHERS WAS AT HIS LAPTOP AND ALL I COULD HEAR WAS A LITTLE BIT OF THE LYRICS SOMETHING LIKE A BOY LIKE ME NEEDS A GIRL LIKE YOU? AND THE MALE VOCALIST SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS RECORDED SOMETIME BETWEEN 1958-1963. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. IF NOT I WILL WATCH FOR THE NEXT AIRING.

Don't know, beats me when it's gonna be on again, kid!

It'll be on again tonight.

It will definitely be on again this week. They promoted the hell out of this movie and they'll definitely give us more than one chance to see it. Check tvguide.com for your zip code and maybe even record the movie so you can play back the credits. They might list the songs.

Just FYI, on message boards, typing in all caps is equivalent to shouting.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

According to the soundtrack listing at the end of the movie, the song is called "A Girl Like You" but an artist is not listed. I agree with your time estimate... I'd go with around 1963.... The Teen Idol sound. This is a very good song. I'll do some research and write back with any information I find.
