Stupid humanitarian aid couple

Did anyone catch a recent episode with a couple who both work in the humanitarian aid field? The husband has black hair and red beard.

The second house they saw was listed at $489,900 and it's done up to the hilt, including a gourmet kitchen, a deck on the garage, nicely finished basement, etc. They said they don't like it because it was too nice.

But for the life of me, I don't understand why they ended up choosing the third house, which was listed at $488,900, while nice, isn't as nice as the second home - backyard isn't as nice, plus it was across the street from commuter rail tracks.

Granted they were located in different neighborhoods, both just north of High Park. It still boggles my mind they decided not to go with the second one just because it was "too nice." Even Sandra looked confused when they said that.

I haven't seen that episode; however, one with "black hair and a red beard"-probably has questionable judgment already.

Ah yes, this couple. They said the house looked more like a cold museum or something rather than a house that looked lived-in. It was "too nice" and they were afraid to touch or break something.

LOL I saw that episode!! I swear I have SOOO much more respect for realtors now after watching this show because the BS they endure just to get a sale. Prima Donnas doesn't begin to describe alot of these clients. But hey, you like what you like. But I find that alot of these clients contradict themselves. They ask for one thing and when she shows them what they asked for then all of a sudden it isn't what they wanted. Or worse yet, they say they're looking for a house and when they find one they like, they then have to get their parents', aunt Suzy's and the Pope's blessing before proceeding. I'm like: "If these people's opinion matters that much then they should have accompanied you during the search!"

So I say KUDOS to Sandra; she's got lots of patience.

I love the ones where they say they want a "project" then say the house looks "dated." I always lmao.

reply

LOL yeah I know right!! "Project" is such a subjective term yet they figure the realtor is supposed to instinctively know what level of a project the house is supposed to be. Project to the average person means "fixer-upper" yet for most of them project means only having to change door handles on the kitchen cabinets and voila!! house is up-to-date!
