The Ending

It would have been nice to have a better ending to this film, something that showed the results of the choices made and change of events in Danny's life. What happened? Did Danny end up making any changes to the way he lived his life, or was it just not winning the film festival? Did whatever changes occurred impact Zach's life? What happened to old man Welds? Did Danny continue on with Shane, did he ever graduate? Did he have a successful college and professional career thanks to all this turmoil they went through during this period depicted in the film? Did the producers run out of money to finish the film, as these aren't questions I should still have after the credits have rolled? Truly, I would have rated this higher than I did if there had been some closure at the end, some summary at least of what changes were made in their lives as a result of what we've just watched.
