Was there a nod to Brittany's character Shellie in Sin City movie?

I the scene where David died, the old woman (David's mother?) pulls him down from the rope and starts yelling at him saying "David? You damned idiot! Ya damned fool!"


Right after she says that second sentence, the camera cuts to Brittany Murphy appearing to be standing and looking down. If you watch Sin City, in the scene where Dwight (Clive Owen) jumps out of Shellie's kitchen window, Brittney is standing at the window with the EXACT same look on her face, looking down with both hands on the window ledge, saying to Dwight, "Ya damned fool!"

It was identical to the scene in this movie except for which character was saying it. The posture, facial expression, and even the inflection and accent on the words was the same.

Just wondered if that was a salute to Sin City.
