Wussiest boyfriend ever

I had to cringe as he talked to her with his fruity baby talk voice about how happy he was, and completely smothered her, I actually found it rather un believable that she bothered seeing him for more than 3 dates, but really the more I thought about it, I think they tried to make it very abvious that he blew it with her, and the scene where he is sitting on the beach burning her stuff he is probably coming to terms with his actions and thinking he could have been a more normal boyfriend and not a pu$$y.

Agreed, she seemed WAY too cool for such a naive dweeb. She even spells it out when she says she'll end up hurting him, but he refuses to believe it. They don't show what happened in the stretch of time it takes for him to grow his beard, but it's obvious she's completely sick of him by that point. Captain Oblivious doesn't seem to clue in.

Cool? She's a grubby tramp who chose the quietest guy in the room who couldn't even get the bartender's attention because she wanted a little adoration for a change instead of just being used as the cumdumpster that she is. Yeah, the guy needs to learn to watch his step, but she is the turd on the sidewalk that should be shoveled into the gutter.

Wow. Harsh. But hey, at least she showed her boobs.

My sig: why do almost all movies on imdb have a "worst movie ever!" thread?

reply

Showed her boobs? In her case, that's not saying much.

You may walk on the beach, you may swim in the ocean... under SWAT team surveillance, of course.

She wasn't that evil.

She had a right to decide who she wanted to date and who she didn't. Just like guys. He was cute and she wanted to get laid and have some fun, but after awhile she got bored with him. Again, her right. If it meant breaking his heart, well he's a big boy and has to accept that risk.

The movie tried to establish these two guys as a couple of outlaws who were dangerous and lived off the grid and didn't answer to society's rules. So then why all the whining and heartbreak when the girl dumps him?

That part of the movie pretty much killed their cred.

Credibility of the guy who got dumped. As I explained in my post, the two heroes are established as bad boys who, presumably, don't let themselves get too attached to women.

Maybe that wasn't the intent of the movie, but I'm thinking of outlaw bikers who are notorious for treating their women like dirt.

Their background isnt established that well. They didnt strike me as felons anyway, more like post adolescent dreamers. They werent pussies either. It also remains unclear whether the showdown was imaginary and what happened in its aftermath. Did the filmmakers comment?

You mean when he accidentally killed the guy at the end? I thought it was real. I don't recall hearing any commentary about that. Haven't seen the movie in awhile.
