A third series?

Do you think they'll make another series? Or that their 'death' by rose petals in the end lol means they wont?

reply

I certainly hope they'll make another series, although I'm not sure what time periods are left that have distinctive food, they already had to go over seas twice.

I'm only going to say this once: stay out of Camberwick Green - Sam Tyler

I'd second the wish for a third "Supersizers" that dealt with the wider world.

Actually, just 6 more eps would seriously satisfy me enough for the show to "end" after that, and Sue and Giles more on to other projects (hopefully together).

My vote for the six would be: dynastic China, feudal Japan, the American wild west/1800's, Tsarist Russia, Inca (or Mayan?) civilization, and Imperial India.

If they REALLY didn't want to do another food series, I suppose it could be done as a one-off 2hr "segmented" special ('The Supersizers Eat The World') without the 1 week timeframe and doctors' visits.

Or what about The Supersizers go...into the Future! An infinite number of possibilities, many of them probably involving food in pill form.

Giles did state in his Times column in June that a new series has been commissioned, but I have no idea what era they will do unless they go to different countries and sample the local cuisine.

Will we see you and Sue back for a third series?
"We don't want to do any more food. We've done it all now and we don't want to wreak any more havoc on our bodies now. Sue and I can't just keep sitting at tables, pulling faces and making smart remarks about the food. So we would like to do a programme about someone else. The first thing would be a series about manners and etiquette, which will be called Sue And Giles On Good Behaviour. The BBC has that in front of them and will hopefully commission it soon, as long as people watch Supersizers - which is a great show with a s**t title. You can quote me on that."

To be honest I would probably even enjoy a show about etiquette with them, they're just so damn funny together!
