I haven't heard much about this movie, but I get a call from my friends last night and they are filming in my neighborhood. From what I hear, it is about a girl from Alaska, and we think her boyfriend breaks up with her in the very beginning and then the movie is sort of about her.. adventure, I guess.
Just thought I would share what I know.

Also it's either him or another character (guy) that kills himself. and there's this big snow sled race too.
shareThe boyfriend's family gets Vanessa a scholarship to his private school. Phillip (they boyfriend) goes to Paris for the summer and when he comes back, Vanessa is no longer good enough for him, she's much too quirky.
Vanessa gets relegated to the misfits fitness room, where she forms her own team for the Eskimo Games.
The team teaches each other lessons about how to win gracefully and how to lose with as much grace.
the guy who kills himself is on Vanessa's original team for the eskimo races.... it's called the snow something competition.

i went to the set. I was casted as an extra. It was a cool experience. But it mostly took place and was about a girl who was new to a private school, but it was cool because i did the scene where we were in the auditorium and the soccer field. We had to wear like matching soccer outfits and we looked really preppy. it was cool and cold. But the filming took two days and it was very warming the people that actually worked on the set they were nice except for the other extras they were kinda snobby and i was like are you serious you guys are just extras like freaking me, give me a break! But yeah it was cool. and a awesome experience that I would never forget, but i think you should've went to the casting or set but i think you had to be represented, I mean i don't have an agent but they were just looking for teens that could be playing extras that went to the "private school."
sharei was an extra in this movie and it was filmed at king's school in seattle. all the filming has been done in this area.
