Location?

I believe it takes place in or around Fairbanks. I think that's mentioned in the movie, but maybe I just figured that made sense.

It was actually filmed in Washington State, which stands in for Alaska occasionally, as in "Northern Exposure." As was the case on that show, if you know what Western Washington looks like, it's pretty readily recognizable (and, of course, not Alaska).

When I watched this movie, I was hoping to see Fairbanks again. I lived in Fairbanks for a few years as a kid in the 80s. Washington State is beautiful also, but I was hoping Fairbanks finally made it into the movies.
