Did the ETA prisoners speak Basque together?

Great film - I will be watching it again.

In the scene where the Basque prisoners were on their own in the cell, did they speak Basque together or Spanish? Presumably in that situation they would naturally choose to speak Basque together?

They spoke Basque when they were on their own, but where promptly told by the non-ETA prisoners to not speak that language around them.
