The plot sounded simple but this movie aint! Thumbs up!

Yes, this was an excellent movie. But to say it's better than every movie in a country's film industry is a silly generalization. :-)

Amazing prison film! Absolutely loved it! Kept it oldschool but still managed to surprise!

the movie is in itself a great entertainment, great pace and IMO on the of the most iconic prison immates inmates in the history of film, I'm not even kidding, Malamadre gave me chills - such an amazing performance.
however, I find the movie much more intricate when you know the history of basque terrorism, the historical struggle of spanish governments negotiating with terrorists and the huge conflict of negotiating with criminals. I think one of the most interesting points the film made was adding Juan into the fight, an apparently innocent man who becomes a victim and a criminal himself, soem would argue this is the case of ETA, a criminal with a justifiable cause. It might just be me, I think I saw the paralell the director was trying to portrait, just to make the case that negotiations are difficult and emotion should deffinitely not be added into the equation but it's at the same time highly impossible to put it aside...
it's was just so good. I loved it.
I hated the quality of the picture though, I don't like that high-realistic kind of filming.
