The Second Snitch (Spoilers)

I noticed that the whole 'second snitch' question gets brought up alot, so I figured it was best to try and clarify what happened, as far as I saw it.

Apache was the snitch, that was shown at the beginning, he exchanges inside information for favours. By extension he has a phone, and has the ability to contact anyone when he wants to. It also explains why he goes after Juan Calzognes so hard, because he sees him as a threat.

Just before the SWAT attack occurs, he and his men make makeshift weapons and guard the hostages. It's clear that he is guarding the hostages, making sure that none of the other prisoners try to kill them as promised, presumably because he has been told to do so by the guards. That's why he kills Malamadre and his second in command, because they were most likely to try to do so.

Him shooting Juan is a combination of this, and also probably due to his particular hatred of him, and, since the guards wanted Malamadre to take him out, he was probably told to kill him.

That was how I read the situation anyway.
