Poor Johnny...

He was so sad and lone and just incredibly desperate for friendship and these two ass-holes use him for their own means (Alexa needed some life experience to draw from so she wasn't such a sh-tty actess, and Ben needed to explore his sexuality).

But thats the thing. Are we supposed to feel for Johnny and look down on Ben and Alexa as the evil characters? From my perspective they all acted selfishly really. But none of them did it maliciously so. It just ultimately worked out that way. Alexa never decided Im going to use Johnny to gain sexual experience then mess with his head. She likely assumed he wouldnt care about her after they had sex and would still be that jock *beep* he appeared to be from the start. But of course we come to realize Johnny is a really fragile personality searching for connection and he attaches himself to Alexa who reciprocates (its not like she dumps him) but then he also seeks something from Ben that he also likes. And in his warped mind this weird three headed relationship could somehow work. Thats where Alexa realizes oh *beep* what have I done. That scene at the end where she tries to talk to him its clear she feels enormous guilt for what happened. But Johnny brought it on himself by being so absurd about whats reasonable and whats not. He wanted connection to BOTH of them in a way that just doesnt work. So he shares blame in this too.
