What does it mean?

When Aamir realizes that he is carrying a bomb and asks the other guy why he is making him do all this, he replies, "Karna tujhe chahiye tha, wahaan. Lekin tu to bhaag aaya." It roughly translates to "You were supposed to do it there. But you ran away and came here"

The way I see it (purely based on this conversation), Aamir was involved with a terrorist outfit in London. But he realized what he was doing isn't right, so he left everything and came back to India. I know I'm reading too much into the line, but it makes sense. Will someone tell me what their interpretation of the line is?

all thorughout the film the villain says that the hero isnt doing enought for his religion, fow the vilain enough is blow stuff up, killing civilians, etc etc

according to him every muslim must kill civilians and murder thousands in the name of jihad,

but aamir led a normal life, he uderstood that whatever the villain was saying is complete crap, and he didnt do anything wrong

so now he is targetted

frankly the movie makes no sense, any one of the biker in the film could have placed the bomb in the bus, who would have found out??

Why...So..Serious? Let's put a smile on that face of yours!

thts how U see it, he got himself killd by saving so many othrs who also were innocent, it was not about being caught if he had ran away.... It was what he was.
He believed in the Least damage policy

Great interpretation... I never really thought about it that way. Maybe there's more to Aamir than the viewer gets to see? In any case, from what the director shows us, I don't think we can draw that far of a conclusion and make it anything than an interpretation. From what I gathered, he could also be referring to just things in general -- as in, that he should have taken a stand as a Muslim in the London attacks, but he instead chose to 'remain silent'.

I don't think he was "involved". He was probably approached/pressurized by the jihadists to bomb London, but didn't entertain them. One reason for his visiting back India could be the hope that the jihadists wouldn't try to pressurize him in India like they did in London.

Makes sense. Definitely explains the line. But what I don't get is that Aamir acts as though he has NO idea what is happening to him throughout the film, until everything is explained to him, that is. IF something DID happen earlier, I'd think he'd sort of guess what the motive is. I don't mean to contradict my previous interpretation...just a thought that I had when I re-watched the movie.

Anyway is a good film for a poor country as India and opens a great line of discussion.

Wow. I bow to you sir.

Great observation! I didn't pick up on that, but does make sense.

What a waste. Oh, the humanity!
