Anybody noticed that straight to video animal horror movies are common?
Go to Blockbuster, and you will see a boatload of similar movies with titles like: Snake Island 3! Bitten! Killer Buzz! etc.

shareNot surprizing. They are popular and cheaply made so they can churn them out in bulk, just like the B-movies of the 1950s. They just reused the sets and shot films in a few days on miniscule budgets. Today with CGI it's even easier.
shareAgreed. They probably shoot them in a week with no more than two takes. The movies are all basically the same: creatures get loose, attack, the hero fights back, and eventually the humans are saved. Throw in a government or corporate conspiracy for added "realism" and there's your movie.
