Holy crap this movie is funny
Seriously I couldn't stop laughing. It was Kenny Powers back in midevil days. By far the best Comedy I've seen in a long long time.

When you read it it doesn't sound as funny, but the delivery and facial expressions from the actors make the lines funny. Maybe the comedy isn't your type of comedy, so just butt out?

shareDude you need to chill out. Last time I checked film is a subjective art form. You can't sit here and try to articulate why something that someone finds funny isn't funny because you didn't think so. That defeats the point of it being SUBJECTIVE. You cannot argue against someone's opinion because your opinion is different. You are a true troll if you are going to sit here and try and argue against the guys opinion by picking out acting techniques such as facial expressions.

It's more the delivery of the lines and the fact that they are in the middle ages speaking with proper accents that make those lines funny. But those weren't anywhere near the funniest parts to me anyway.

Well I really liked it. I found it to be a bit overlong but for the stoner/goof-off comedy that it was, it definitely had it's funny moments.

I gotta agree. It was just a simple, imaginative fantasy comedy that would appeal to teenagers or to the teenager within all of us. No regrets watching it and I loved it all the way through.

shareI'm unsure why everyone seems to hate this movie so much, I thought it was one of the funniest comedies I’ve seen in ages. It felt refreshing after the onslaught of crap comedies my friends are always dragging me to.
It had a consistent tone, and it didn’t feel as if it had to be accessible to a more general audience (not unlike The Hangover movies).
Perhaps it wasn’t for everyone, defiantly not the majority.
Oh, and Franco may not be able to play Every role, but that guy can play every genre.

The first half hour was hilarious. The rest was good, too. I love this movie and have watched the extra features a few times since we purchased it last weekend. I think the main appeal for me is the fantasy/period element. I'd rather eat sand than watch most modern comedies. I find most of the ones I've seen feel forced, like they're trying too hard to be funny and they don't have the charm that comedies two or three decades ago had. I wish we could see more movies like Your Highness in the near future but of course because it wasn't considered to be very successful I'm sure that is not likely to happen. I guess I'm just a sucker for fantasy movies and that's what won me over above all.

These are some of the superior modern comedies. I suggest these.
I love those comedies but they are not superior, just different. There's Something About Mary" is really close in feeling actually. Your highness is like the raunchiest, silliest comedy made to oscar-winning movie standards. It is a weird dichotomy but it works if you go with it.

I agree that I found this movie extremely funny, even though I'm not a huge fan of Pineapple Express. Just rented it on a whim hoping for a laugh and had to wipe away tears during some parts because I was laughing so hard. I agree that it's Kenny Powers as I find "Eastbound & Down" very funny as well, but I know the humor isn't for everyone. I can understand how some people would be quite offended by the film, so I know I'll be careful whom I give a recommendation to in the future. Still, I plan on purchasing it once it gets to the $5 bin at Walmart or Half-Price books.

Just watched this. I'm surprised to see so many people who didn't think it was funny. Oh man I laughed from the start to the end. IMO a comedy classic. I'm laughing now just thinking of it. OK, not realistic movie, but funny.
shareGood I'm glad I'm finding more and more people who liked it. Again it's not for everyone some people are taking it to serious and some just hate the toilet humor jokes. There's no chance for a sequel but I'd watch it in two seconds if they made one.
shareI saw it in theaters, with my cousins. Everyone in our theater thought the movie was hilarious, including me and my cousins. Sure it's crude humor, but the delivery, and no apologies made it quite hilarious. It wasn't wicked funny all the way through but it had it's parts where it brought me to tears laughing (the minataur penis trophy that Danny wears is one of them). What really helped for me is that you could tell all the actors had a blast making this film, and it helps those viewers that appreciate the movie stay in a warm, jolly mood throughout the film. I gotta pick it up on blu-ray so I can see Natalie Portmans butt in HD.
