Why do all the good shows get canceled and all the crap shows stay on the air?!! Sick of getting attached to a show and it gettting canceled. At least Southland got picked up by another network wish The unusuals would get picked up by another network.
shareIf it got picked up by another network (after this amount of time, highly unlikely) it would probably have to go on without star Jeremy Renner. Renner's probably getting a little too hot as an actor, especially after The Hurt Locker.

agreed. i enjoy southland but its too similar to all the other cop shows. i loved the unusuals because it was so different and entertaining.

I am 7 episodes into it, and can't believe I only have 3 to go before it all ends! It is a real shame that noone has picked up the show. I think the Leo-Eric duo have a lot of potential for comedic value, and Alvarez is a classic character.

Netflix will only stream 9 of the 10 episodes. Guess ABC still thinks it can sell the dvd.

I was watching on a non-standard device, and a few days after I watched it (but after I posted) it did go "dvd only." There do seem to be some differences on posting schedules depending on what you use to view netflix. You've most likely got the better of it. I seem to have stuff longer after it's pulled, but I have to wait a day or so after it streams to the pc. Plus for me stuff takes forever to get fixed if I report a problem on playback.
oh, but /agree about stupid reality shows. But that's not an American problem. Foreign audiences are just as stupid as us. Remember we stole all of our reality shows from U.K. and Japan.

You can see the show on Crackle, the ipod app, for free. All the episodes. I just finished watching the whole series. Why did they cancel such a great show? What a fantastic cast and great writing! All this s*****y reality crap that's on now blows. The powers that be are retards and I assume they think we are all retards. I only watch Burn Notice, Sparticus and Game of Thrones. America's TV is truly a wasteland and it's only getting worse. What is this about three shows on now about cupcakes? Turn off the tube and read.

Sorry for necro, but IIRC wasn't there a writers strike that year? I seem to recall that there was, and that it resulted unfortunately in a lot of short seasons and a whole lot of good programming coming to an abrupt end.
