I believe he was a real chef. The Chipotle give is new. He has a young son, who I think, has an illness. So I can understand the desire for a good paying job with decent hours.
If you can't walk and talk/text at the same time, do the rest of us a favor and get out of the way.
i find it funny how he complains about not being much of an innovator, yet if he's in R&D he should be experimenting and creating new flavors for the almighty chipotle.

I thought about that comment, too. Why is he there? Doesn't he know that one of the main components of being an Iron Chef is innovation. Doesn't he realize that that's why they have an "INNOVATION" challenge? Lol
I laugh when all the bragging, arrogant chefs on these contests talk about the things they can and will do, but when they get a task that makes them precious, they talk about what they don't do as if the contest owes them an apology for being so demanding.
