Something I don't quite get about Falkner's advantage...

Ok, so Chef Falkner had the advantage this week of being the fourth judge and picking one of the other chefs to go straight to the Secret Ingredient Showdown. The chances are probably slim but what if the main three judges would have ended up choosing the very same person as she did to go to the SIS? Is that why Alton knew who was written in the envelope, to prevent picking the same chef (which seems somewhat sneaky)?

Likely off-screen they (judges) would have been told that's who is on the card so who is your second choice to go.

I'm not saying the show is rigged, but I wouldn't be surprised if the producers told the judges something like "Wouldn't it make for great television if the same outrageous thing that happened last year happened again?" I just hope Appleman doesn't go on to win the whole thing like Zakarian.
