Appleman the last two weeks

I love how he keeps saying something like "Marcel is showing up, but I'm going to take him out", when the reality is that Appleman has been in bottom and Marcel is getting first or second.

and he keeps on giving that angry stare

I think they're all a little shocked at how well Marcel has been doing. They can't quite get their heads around it, since he's such an annoying little fella.

i doubt he's gonna win tho. the whole point of the season is REDEMPTION so it'd really be a smack in everyone's face if the person who wins is someone who didn't really come for redemption in the first place XD

As long as it's not Appleman, I'm good. I just can't stomach all the talk about "integrity" when his every motivation seems to be aimed at taking out Marcel. You're pissed at the guy because he had a good friend on the show and they chose to plate together in a challenge?!

How juvenile is that? We all know that Marcel can be a HUGE tool, but I haven't seen that Marcel emerge on this show as of yet, so the ol' "I'm going to destroy you" bit has gotten old REAL quick. Where I come from, those that can, do...and those that can't, talk. Let the food do the talking, Appleman...and shut your shark-eyed pie-hole!

Thank you, that is what I have been saying!
Yeah, I don't think Marcel will win, he is too inexperienced and hasn't " paid his dues " so to speak but Applebutt is fixated on " destroying" him instead of just trying to be the best he can be. That is what I mean by him being immature. He takes things too personal.

All of them are really great chefs, but I would definitely be a bit happier if Marcel did win, because I am a HUGE admirer of Molecular Gastronomy, or Modernist Cuisine, as well as the chef who taught him, Ferran Adria.

When you can make Anthony Bourdain eat his own words, I figured there had to be something special about Ferran and this approach to cooking.
I was also one of the few who enjoyed Marcel's brief show and was constantly amazed by the creations. I applaud anyone who decides to step out of the box, especially in the snooty confines of the cooking world.

We are Marcel fans as well and loved his show. He was in my state very recently skiing, my daughter and I were seriously thinking of driving up to Park City, Utah hoping to run into him!

That's awesome! Maybe he would have made you guys something out of snow right there on the spot...but if it was yellow, I'd graciously decline.

I can't stand Appleman (or as I call him, Bulldog). I think Marcel is just adorable (as well as a good friend, at least to Spike), but they do need another female Iron Chef. If Marcel does win, I won't be too unhappy.

If Marcel wins, think of the AMAZING stuff he would come up with in an hour and sous chefs on IC.

Remember the " spaghetti" wine gel, how cute was that? I like him but do think he needs more "seasoning" but not necessarily less ego. Having a confident ego is what it takes to succeed in that world.
If I had the money, I would love to have him cater an event for me. Maybe my 50th birthday ( uh, in 30 years, lol). Okay, okay in 5 yrs.

Yes, I remember that! I REALLY wanted to crawl into my TV to try that one. And don't worry about your birthday math. Some of us will have the exact same number of candles present...in about 30 years, of course.
