I knew Guarnaschelli would win. Perhaps Freitag was just too quirky for Kitchen Stadium? Morimoto is whacky enough for the both of 'em ;).

It think it just came down to what Zakarian said. Guarnaschelli's execution was stronger in the finale and that dessert put her over the top.

they really do love execution above all else. why not just make butter on toast. easy to execute at a high level.

Yep, and Judy Joo is supposed to be an Iron Chef on Iron Chef UK yes? I hope they delivery a shocker but it's never been the case on Iron Chef America history thus far.

I accept the winner, but it just still seems so wrong that Amanda Freitag wasn't victorious. I understand that the judges brought in for the final episode would have no knowledge of the fantastic run that Amanda had throughout the season though. The fact that none of that counted is a big flaw in the system. Amanda was more than deserving.
