Well Worth Watching

This film is pretty unusual. The script and the acting at times seem to be fairly clunky, but the closer it gets to the end. and the more twists and turns the plot takes, the more magnetic its attraction becomes. I found it engaging right to the end.
One unusual feature is that the French title translates to ‘Holy Victory’, but the English title is ‘Bitter Victory” – and for me the English one is truer to the sense of the ending.
