Brother Joe

Though Jake Rademacher and his brother Isaac seemed likeable enough, I thought brother Joe was a real knob. He seemed so utterly full of himself and almost like a robot in many scenes. The scene when he said that civilian worries and grievances are so irrelevant because he's seen war and death (I'm paraphrasing) was absurd in the extreme. That guy had no respect for anyone (including Jake) unless that person had been in the military.

I feel pity for his wife. Every time she feels under the weather she will get no sympathy from Joe. He would say something like "Hey, serve in Iraq if you really want to feel bad!"
