I Don't Know why I watched this.

I was looking for something to watch on demand and I found this. Having not heard of the movie, I read the brief summary of the film and decided to check it out. I almost quit watching after 10 minutes or so when the first musical number came on. I stayed for the whole movie and glad I did. It was very good. A little dark at times but still some positives. It reminded me of "Across The Universe" meets "Quadrophenia", with some "Hairspray" thrown in. But in Russian. If you like musicals, give this a chance, especially if you have never watched a musical in Russian.

Wow, a little impatient and close-minded much? Why did the first musical number put you off so much??

I think it was great because it showed the clear divide between these two factions and how the political party members had authoritative power over the Stilyagis.
