What is Rivette up to?

The Duchess of Langeais was one of the few masterpieces I've seen in awhile; a wonderful film.

Does anyone know what his next project is, or what it's about?

Here's some story:

But other sources claim it's a Raymond Roussel's biopic (sort of, I guess), and Birkin is to play his mother:

It sounds like a cross between Lola Montès and Le carosse d`or.I was hoping it would be a Raymond Roussel bio.

Cinema is the question minus the answer

Actually, I'm really pleased to hear this - wasn't sure that a biopic sounded that appealing. Even sounded a little dull considering Rivette's oeuvre. This sounds way more interesting.

What??
84 minutes?
Surely not.....It can't be. Really.

reply

Yes,his shortest feature.Usually it takes him 84 minutes just to set the scene and establish the characters, but perhaps age is beginning to take its toll.

reply

Probably his most experimental film in years - in terms of running time at least:)
