Bad Acting

I know this is supposed to be a "reality"-based show but there's no way the crap that goes on would be tolerated at a real company. I guess following them on a build where there was no drama and near-impossible deadlines wouldn't be interesting. Why would someone ask them to do a build then give them a deadline that would almost require them to cut corners or work around the clock. I don't want some half-asleep person working on my car when I'm paying lots of money.

I would never have a vehicle done by these guys after watching this show, they are worse than a dysfunctional family.

The only thing I can think of is that they are acting when they start fighting, pull pranks, get fired. In fact, at a few points Ryan sounded like he was reading from a cue card and laughed when 2 guys were fighting. Uh, he has got to be one of the worst bosses I've ever seen; acting like that he would be quickly let go if he worked at another company.

The guys in the shop were getting in trouble for not wearing the West Coast Customs clothing. And they were told they need to buy the clothes. A real company would give their employees either some clothing for free or a clothing allowance to buy what they want from the shop.

Overall, I have to say this is basically the same as every other car/hotrod/chopper program out there. There really is no reason to watch it unless you like the made-up controversy or are really into the cars and their creation.
