Beheading footage

I was wondering if the beheading footage shown in the film is unedited or not. I've seen much of the footage before the War & Snuff section of the film (Cannibal Holocaust, etc.), but I'm just very against viewing the terrorist beheadings so I did what I never thought I'd do and I turned the film off. I'd like to finish it, I know I'm almost done. I'm willing to continue the film if the footage of the beheading is tamed. Does anyone know?

It may be slightly edited, but it definitely shows too much, man. It was really awful. Not to mention, this movie is far from worth putting up with that. If that scene bothers you (and it should) you can probably just skip that chapter if you're watching a DVD

I walked into another room after they showed that and the footage of the soldiers being shot.

I felt they just threw it in there without warning. Grisly fake deaths are one thing, but that was things they were all saying they were distrubed by and took weeks to get over after seeing and then WHAM... there you go viewers, enjoy our misery.

Plus, the military stuff was most certainly on screen longer that the other footage.

The Iraqi torture and "sniper" footage just went on and on and on.

And I was getting annoyed with the one commentator who spoke to deliberate.

Interesting up to that point.

Agreed

My wife asked me why I never watched Faces of Death and I said I'm not big into supporting deaths for profit or fun and this turned inot one of those.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I guess this will be the first time I don't finish a film because of violent content. Wow, I never thought I'd say that. It's more about the principle and less about being disturbed. If I were murdered brutally on camera, I don't think my loved ones would appreciate other people viewing it for their entertainment. It's one thing to be morbily curious and face the evils of this world; it's another thing to be entertained by the evils of this world. I prefer to be the former, but I feel like if I finish this film, I will become the latter.

The war footage is the only thing I try to skim over or go past as quickly as I can. As others said, simulated deaths are one thing. But people being shot and beheaded...no thanks. It's one of those things you can't unsee or unhear once you do (it's been a few months since I watched it again and those noises are still in my head).

You're better off skipping past it.
