IMDB rarely lets me down hard. I find the rating of 6.7 to be remarkably out of whack. I gave it a 4/10. Maybe it should be a 5 or even a 6 if I were in the best mood, but this was just bad. I think I made it nearly an hour in. Truthfully, within 5 minutes I knew I made a terrible mistake. I rarely don't finish movies, but this...ugh.

Missing the point of the movie? It's a comedy, points are irrelevant. The reason I didn't like the movie is because it wasn't funny and the plot was obnoxiously juvenile.

shareIt's no classic, but it, at least in my opinion, it had a few funny parts (like that "I wish you didn't beat that cancer") had me in stitches, yes other parts were a bit too lowbrow, but overall, if you understand or watch DerrickComedy, you know to expect immature humor. I'd watch it again, but hey, we all have different opinions.

Seriously? News flash, comedies don't get funnier at the end and certainly don't change pace. This wasn't the Usual Suspects, Fight Club or Inception here. Unless you're presenting the argument that this childish comedy took a drastic turn in any direction in the last quarter, I find it dumb that you think it's impossible to get a good idea of how this movie was overall while missing the last 20 minutes.
Like you, I knew it was bad after 5 minutes. Unlike you, I turned it off after 6. Juvenile, stupid and just not funny.
shareI think it was supposed to be "juvenile". Kind of like the Brady Bunch movies that were made back in the 90s (which are masterpieces btw). I can understand the movie not being for everybody though.
shareIt's really only the three main characters who are juvenile though, and there's a reason for it in the plot. They're stuck in the past.

Agreed this movie sucked. Only the scenes with Matt Walsh were worth watching.
shareIt was awesome to me and I found it very funny and enjoyable and Im the type that its not easy to get me to laugh. However, we all have our own opinions. There is no movie out there that is loved by every single person on Earth.

I finished this flick and gave it an outright 2/10! I'm all for comedies and have laughed at everything from Adam McKay gritty humor & Ferrelly Brothers gross out humor, to over the top slapstick Zucker Brothers & Austin Powers type humor...this one maybe made me laugh ONCE...seriously! Was even tempted to turn it off myself at about the hour mark, but for some idiotic reason, I stuck it through.
I couldn't BELIEVE my eyes when I checked IMDB today and saw the ultra high 6.8 with over 4,000 votes! Either the entire cast & crew all registered and voted on here or I am SIMPLY in the minority thinking this movie SUCKS!!!

I agree with OP. I tried to like it, but man those three lead guys were AWFUL. Pretty dumb movie, I couldn't believe the praise.
shareRatings are completely subjective to the viewers experience, comedies doubly so. Since a key aspect of a comedy is humor, which is extremely subjective.
The problem is clear to me. You didn't give the movie a real chance. I thought it was going to be incredibly stupid from the first few minutes, but as the story developed the movie proved me wrong. There's a reason those three act the way they do.
