Modest lifestyle

I was surprised how modest Lemmy's little flat was. I would have thought that having sold over 30 million records that he would lived in mansion. Had Lemmy fallen on hard times?

He liked it that way. His home wasn't for him to spend time in, it was a place to stay between tours, I think he considered the road his real home. And when he was in LA, he spent most of his time in the Rainbow Bar anyway ☺

I was surprised too. I didn't think he lived in some huge mansion, but you'd think he'd live somewhere that was a little more private. You wouldn't expect Lemmy to just walk out of some apartment complex. He must've had a huge bank account. I don't think he had a car and lived in an apartment that cost $900 a month.

I got the impression it wasn't a home so much as a place to store his stuff. A rent-controlled place to store his stuff!
