It's an important issue but the director is not up to snuff.

Darfur, was a Poorly filmed action film, with an important issue tacked on. The violence is not why it was bad. It was bad because it was filmed like a bad action film, by a poor Paul Greengrass imitator. The violence which was obviously something that is happening now in Africa, was hard violence, and was needed to tell the story right and honestly (his only credit) at least he had the balls. But it was filmed in an cheap exploitive horror film fashion, I don't know if it's because it's the only way he knows how to style violence, but it clearly felt like cheap horror film, during scenes that should have been heartbreaking.

So says Mr. Stewart
