Doesn't anyone think it's corny and dear I say 'nerdy' ?

I and my 6 year old were watching PBS when this came on: let me just say, we were loughing so hard at it. I mean, c'mon: it's kind of out there ... I don't think it's cute, I am sorry, but it's kind of "nerdy"... I think it's cool to be into science, and it's ok to be nerdy a bit now and again.: but the characters in this cartoon act way too silly... I know it is targeted for preschoolers, but still: rapping silly song , and with everyone snapping their fingers, and pointing fingers ( lalala "I 'm looking for you" lalala ) . We watch to kind of laugh at it. Don't you guys think it's way too corny, even for a cartoon....

yeah, maybe it's a special "corny" class, where everyone act like "Carlton" from "Fresh Prince of Bell Air" ...

My 14-month-old loves this show and dances to all the songs, so we watch it pretty frequently. My husband cannot stand it. I'm glad I don't absolutely hate this show because it's one of my daughter's favorites. She's not much into TV but for some reason she really likes Sid. She's not talking yet, so maybe she's thinking what you guys are: "This show's so dumb, I'm going to watch it for a good laugh." :) As odd as some of the things are, I think it's got of a lot of endearing qualities that make it great for kids. The frequent singing, for one, really appeals to the little ones, and the fact that it's only got 4 kids is probably so viewers don't get confused with too many kids running around.

The characters are definitely a little off the wall, but I might suggest that you stress the educational value to your 6 year old instead of watching 'to kind of laugh at it'. The nerdy kids tend to be the ones who become sucessful in life.

I too have to suffer through this one, my question is when Mom drives Sid to school dad is at work, grandma is nowhere to be see, who is taking care of the baby!!!!!! Hey Sid maybe you should explore that one lol

I wonder if anyone here has worked at a daycare with 4 year olds? If you have, you'd realize that the children in this show are not completely out of the ordinary. They're a little exaggerated because it keeps kids interest.

The reason the preschool in the show only has four kids is because if there were too many characters it would be too much for preschoolers to keep up with and they would lose interest.

The show may seem corny and nerdy to you all is because it's made for preschoolers, not adults. Young kids like this show and learn so much from it.

Also, if it wasn't for the "nerdy" kids in school, we wouldn't have our doctors, scientists, computer techs, and so on. I thought as adults people grew out of making fun of "nerdy" people. But, a lot of people on here have proven that to be wrong.

Way tp take the fun outta of our conversation "jeniusphotography." I think we're all too well aware that the show is for preschoolers...we where just trying to have a bit of fun! GOSH!
Here's a tip for you lighten-up dude it won't kill ya or maybe it will! LOL

Listen honey, I get my kicks where I can and maybe I should get out more I grant you that but you seriously need to lighten up...I mean come on this is what these broads are for to have fun,discuss your opinion and maybe even make a crack about about the movie/cartoon here or there.

And might I add that maybe you should get out more as well since your taking a darn cartoon so seriously. XD LOL
