To be shown in the London Film Festival in October

....but I thought it was a miniseries?

If I see this it will be for Melvil Poupaud regardless.

It's both a 6-hour TV miniseries (in 6 episodes) and a 4.5-hour film to be shown in cinemas. Apparently they're pretty different - some scenes are only present in the shorter version (and vice versa, obviously).

Blimey!!! How are we expected to sit through a 4.5 hour film???!!!! Mind you, if it is garanteed that Melvil will be in it for most of those hours, I'm up for it. I guess I will just have to NOT DRINK anything, hey?

Does anyone know how much Melvil is in the film?

reply

Not a lot of Melvil in it, but it's an excellent film. Melvil would want you to see it. :-)

Last time I went to see a film that Melvil was in for just a bit, I regretted it bigtime....The Refuge, the most boring stupid film I've seen all year.

I'll not only anxious watch the film version in cinemas - it's supposed to come out in Portugal in October - but also the 6-episode miniseries. I put a a lot of faith in Raoul Ruiz.

Yeah, Melvil Poupaud isn't a lot in the movie, but his role, like everyone else's in the movie, is awesome.
