Come On!

Where's the interest for this flick?! It has Jacky Wu, and has an awesome story.

even the last fight was kindd of a letdown, as the whole movie was, I waited so long for that movie, did not know there was a trailer of this one, cause Jacky Wu is cool I will watch it!

Actually...that is all the info I needed.

Already saw that final showdown on youtube...and *ouch* that was a disappointment!

All other fights are even worse?
That end-fight suffers from many conceptual flaws.
One being that it mostly consists of Jing warding off the assaulting thugs with rather ordinary attacks. Those attacks look good, when performed by Jing, but I'd expect a lot more from a showdown with a martial arts superstar.
Another flaw was that Jing hardly seemed to be under stress by the fight. I don't mean that the stress should have been visible on his face...but in his actions.
There was an overall lack of tension between Jing and the thugs. And a lack of visual elements to emphasize the weight/meaning of this battle.
Instead it just seemed like a sport.
Two teams fighting each other in a rugby match.
The odds were a bit off...but little else hinted at the epic scope of this battle.
Changes of pace during the brawl may have helped. And a more drastic change of fighting styles/maneuvers to accommodate to the surroundings.

But as is, the showdown depicts a very ordinary (unimaginative) "1 vs mob" sequence.
Nothing outstanding or memorable.
I actually think you could have used any martial artist for this.
Waste of Jing's talent.

Just caught this online. Really very entertaining. Worth owning for fans of the genre. Hope it is available soon. Nothing on Netflix yet.

No one noticed that the final fight in this film is a rip-off of the final fight in (the terrible) "Matrix Revolutions"? Huh. I did. The moment I saw rain and 50 guys dressed in black. Well, at least this *beep* movie was better than "Matrix Revolutions".

I am watching this movie for first time in year 2012.

Can't say I like it.

I will give the movie enough credit for an attempt. A 4/10 but not higher.

I was rather disappointed with the fact that out of a 1.5 hour movie there are about 5 minutes of action. But you know what... I can live with that providing there is a movie worth watching. Unfortunately I did not find movie to my liking either.

Lets start with the name. "Legendary Assassin" comes across as some sort of super assassin dude that perhaps entails multiple assassinations, some interesting weapons, getaways etc. Not so much with this movie. No weapons, no memorable getaways except for 5 seconds in the movie. Even the fight scene(s) are ripped from other movies.

Also where is the character development? To me it seemed like even with 1hr 25 mins of dialogue there was a huge disconnect between main character and the girl. Things just seem needlessly fast forwarded with no lead in prior to end of the movie. Maybe I am missing something but I did not see it and did not recognize it.

This movie is one of the rare times when my trust in imdb scoring system has not matched my impression of the movie.
