I'm stupid excited for this movie. And I never even liked Zack's take on these superheroes. But this film is such an interesting phenomenon in film making history. I can't wait to see how it turns out. To remake a movie years later, to reshoot it, to rescore it, completely re-edit it. To just take a total do-over on it. That's really something. And if successful, we're gonna see more of this kind of thing and I think that's thrilling.
shareThis is an interesting take. I like the implications of this. However, I can be satisfied with just the implications without having to rewatch this D+ movie again. I'd watch it before I rewatched BvS, though.
Marvel is on the downward swing IMO. I didn't think much of Endgame. It was OK but nothing like the best that the MCU has done before. DC has been so shitty for so long but then Shazam came along and was ... GOOD. I would be great if DC turns over a new leaf and starts being even a fraction of what dceufanticarmy's fever rage dreams say they are. I am skeptical. Not expecting ANY capeshit to be good anymore.
Snyder was great until DCEU. I liked his Watchmen. I even liked Suckerpunch. But then this:

Can his version of JLA really be much better? It is mostly his already and it will still have Jesse in it and Affleck as Bruce smh.
MCU definitely blew its wad. You might have noticed they stopped putting out four movies a year. They don't know what to do and it ain't COVID.
shareIf it's good, I'll happily admit it. And I'm a Marvel fan since 1968, pally. Heck, I've enjoyed Reeve's Superman and Keaton's Batman enough to own them on blu.
But, honestly? I doubt that this'll be the "end-all, be-all" that DC fans are seeking. In fact, I'd bet quite the opposite, if I were a wagering man.
