Does anyone think Alex was overly fond of Annie, in a weird kind of way. Annie seemed to not want him to touch her, or see her in the bath. And the scene when Alex is drunk and holding Annie -
Was there subtext here?

He was her biological father, as he was a match for her kidney-wise... The mother had cheated on Syracus...

Annie didn't know this...
