TED Should Join Wednesday Comedies

BETTER OFF TED is a terrific, smart, funny, well written and acted show that deserves a shot in ABC's successful Wednesday night comedy block. It has the same snarky charm of The Middle, Modern Family, and Cougar Town. Critics love it, so how about giving it a chance with a strong, established lead-in to help this show find an audience? A program this good, and refreshingly different, really deserves it.

Sounds good to me. Modern Family is my all time favorite.

The problem with an otherwise great idea is that Bot's fate is too closely tied to Scrubs. Theo only reason why BoT lasted this long was because it had good retention numbers airing after Scrubs, so placing one of these two dying shows on Wednesday means killing the other. If I was an exec I'd certainly ditch Scrubs, but the real ones might not feel the same.

reply

I agree. But hell, I'd ditch Scrubs for BOT any day! The problem with ABC is they do NOT know how to market shows. Moving BOT to the "failing" day, was one of the worst decisions ever. Way to give up. *beep* heads. :)

Obviously they don't believe in the show enough to ever do anything for it. & obviously they're eyes aren't open enough to see how much they could have done.

I've been saying this since ABC aired the frst episode of Hank.

BOT should've taken Hank's spot. It blends with ABC Wednesday night lineup, so perfect.

Ted would be a great lead off for Wednesday night of laughs, too bad nobody at NBC was willing to think of this.

And I love Scrubs, but why not move cougar town to scrubs night?

Oh well, enjoy the episodes while we got them and buy dvds.
