Portia De Rossi is exceptional in this

We watched this when it was new and were crushed when it was cancelled. Watching it again on Netflix, I'm struck by Portia De Rossi's comedic timing. She's hilarious! They're all great, but she takes a basic line and finds the right tone and angle to make it stand out.

Whoever was the writer did a great job for everyone, but you're right, she kills her lines. I wish Netflix would revive this show like they did with Arrested Development. This show was great.

reply

Oh god know. S4 was trash much rather they didn't mess with this.

reply

Actually, you're trash

reply

She was great in Arrested Development too

reply

Portia de Rossi is exceptional in general, lol, but yeah she's great in this show!

reply

hah yes for sure

This is my third time watching the series and she really does stand out. Her character is also more layered than I remembered.

Veronica: Chew chew chew chew
Ted: What are you doing?
V: That's the sound of me deflecting your whiny bitching with my happiness shield

Ted: Veronica. Quick Question.
Veronica: What is it with everyone and their questions this morning?
V: "Where'd you learn to drive?"
V: "Will you marry me?"
V: "Why would you say that to my baby?"

V: Bunsen...Beaker...focus.
V: This thing you do with the science and yammering and unicorns.
V: That doesn't work for me.
L: Well...that's part of our process to come up with id...
V: Sorry, from now on when you present ideas to me only one of you is allowed to talk.
L: But that's not how we work
V: Exactly, that's now how we work
L: Not
V: Now
L: Not
V: Now
V: Now, now, now, now, now, now, now
L: Not?
V: Now, now, now, now, now, now, now
P: We should go
