Grotesque

I loved Bagdad Cafe from Percy Adlon but I found the characters in this film grotesque and excessive. One issue that could have been very striking as is the moment of encounter between Mahler and Freud is wasted. It remembered me a little humorously and grotesque as the character of Mozart in Amadeus. Alma Mahler could have been better appreciated in a passionate role and even with a touch of madness, but those gestures, specially in the close-ups ruined her role.
