If they want to make this film, they have to read the comic... That's not jesse james... that's His brother "Frank James"...

I'd say: of course it's neither Jesse nor Frank, they where both too busy surviving, killing and robbing, and from a tender age on, to have memorized the entire work of Shakespeare. Also, they where both family-men.
How come this "mistake" irks you so much that you have nothing else to say about this funny and really quite intelligent film but this?
By the way, don't you think the change from one brither to the other is hinted at anyway in the mangled lyrics of the song formerly known as Johnny Guitar Watson's "Gangster of Love" and is no "mistake" at all? Think about it: How many people would know who Frank James was, especially if his name had to stand on it's own? On the other hand: how many people have at least a vague idea who Jesse James was? And thus are able to immediately understand and enjoy the film more if it's Jesse, not Frank ...
