just saw it

and it was quite good. jean dujardin is a genious! (although he does a better job in the oss 117 movies).

only problem was the story. or rather the lack of it... or rather the convoluted atempt at a story...

it looked awesome though, great sets, clothes, cinematography etc etc

It was one of the worst movies I have ever watched. The acting was terrible, the script was meaningless. The movie is a totally failure.

Comedy is very subjective, it depends on your mood at the time, your surroundings, your intellect, what you yourself perceive as funny and much more.
I found it hilarious, it was a spoof western, on the same lines as Blazing Saddles, you found this film a failure and the acting was terrible, what did you expect?

reply

Everything in this world is very subjective, but thats no reason to defend this bs-movie. Movies have nothing to do with your surroundings, intellectuality mayby, but I doubt the ones enjoyed this one are very intellectual.. nothing personal.

It got score of 4.5, which I think is a clear evidence how poor this movie is. It was like watching bad amateur theater with scenery from hell.

Lucky Luke is one of my favorite cartoons and no way this film does any justice to it. Actually, Im even going to say this was far worse than Batman & Robin (the one with Arnold as the iceman:)!

I did enjoy the movie, not the best, but from far the worst movie ever adapted. I think I've only saw one of the comic and wasn't a big fan but i do love what Jean Dujardins is doing and his personnification was great to my point of view, the visual is great, I did really feel like I was in the cartoon. I don't really know why it got so little score and I don't really care, I do look to critics but always consider my own appreciation, I saw it twice and did love it as much the second time then the first.

But I got to admit, it isn't that much funny, I was waiting for something funny like OSS 117, I did laught a few time, did enjoy the simpl story, but it could have been better. I give it a 7/10.

And Jessy James was really the worst character to me in the movie, the other were ok, did enjoy Lucky Luke and Billy the Kid.

It was a combination of astounding visuals and a pathetic script. This movie could've been so much more.

watched it last night...didn't like it... tries too hard to be funny, and fails at it... still it's way better than The Daltons

i loved the comics...2bad we don't have a decent lucky luke movie... although there were those tv series starring Terrence Hill

So, if this is the best live-action effort... which of the animated films are considered the best by fans?

tbh this movie is easily 6.4, if it was on english im sure it would have had that grade... i've seen far worse movies that are over 6.5 mark but this one was full of small giggles and cheap laughable jokes that i enjoyed it. also it stayed very faithful to the feel of the original comic with both the scenery, the premise and the people hiding in the barrels :) also i've seen a review where it says that the reviewer doesnt see revenge because lucky luke doesnt kill anyone and that is clearly a retarded perspective from someone who has been brain washed by action movies where taking a life is a 'normal' standard, where there is no questioning morality about it. lucky luke doesnt kill, he takes prisoners.

reply

I completely agree with you.

reply

me too. my best lucky luke movie until now. hope for a sequel but pretty sure it won't happen :(

reply

Yep, it really was brilliantly shot and stunning to look at but disappointing overall.
