What kind of arab was Malik? Lebanese? Not sure if they mentioned it in the movie but I'm just curious.

ive learnt classic arabic, and i cudnt make out most the arabic they spoke in this movie

for example : classic mashreq arabic- word - iftar >>> ftr in darija
another example: his name el djebena- almost heard as ljbna with only the 'a' articulated at the end of the word.

you're egyptian, so i guess you speak good arabic, rite? how much of the arabic did u understand in the movie? most of it? 50%? i only understood bits of it. it was like as if they had mixed in french or another lang with their arabic

lol I'm arabic (Syrian) and to be honest I only understood like 35% of what they said in arabic, the morrocan, algerian and tunisian accents are the hardest for me to understand between arabs.
share100% Algerian. Trust me. I'm Moroccan myself but I have many Algerian friends, not to mention that my family back home live right at the Moroccan-Algerian border so they share the same dialect more of less (berkani accent, which is very similar to Algerian Arabic).

he speaks algerian dialect, I'm from morocco and I can clearly make the difference, Reyeb (the guy he killed) spoke tunisian.
it's kinda hard to understand if you're only familiar with classic arabic
