To be "found guilty" based on no evidence, no witness statements, no circumstantial evidence, without any confession is..... astounding, for an allegedly democratic western constitutionally-founded republic..... Especially if a verdict is simply based on the facts that the jury disliked her for being a contemporary american girl and disagreed with her moral take on relationships. Then again, if she had been the Italian prime-minister, it probably would have been alright.

But generally, the plot of "Killer App" was pretty tasteless, rather shamelessly ripping-off "the Social Network" and entire Zuckerberg-Facebook soap opera...

Although very late to this thread only working my way through LIE TO ME via available torrents I can only suggest to those who disrespect the ethos of police men and politicians in Old Europe [in this case Italy] please remember just how many of the USA are descended from the same gene pool that made up those corrupt leaders. Think carefully of all those IRISH and ITALIAN descendants in the USA land of the brave etc who probably have not behaved all that much different in their particular individual rise to power.

Also do remember that even in your wonderful USA your [not embarrassed to play around with the law] legal counselors found a [wrongly accused] OJ Simpson innocent of a TERRIBLE crime. I am of course being sarcastic. More recently they made a doctor appear guilty of something like the murder of 'GOD' himself in the Jackson death trial when all he seems to have done is carried out the wishes of an egotistical 'plonker' [brit pejorative word] whose suggested and alleged crimes may now never see the light of day. Mind you who can now do a blackmail job on the deceased. Now there is a motive for taking someone out if a living estate can be compromised.

Some years ago a British nanny was accused of shaking a baby to death in the USA. On appeal she was released. I doubt she has had a film, book and TV appearances post her eventual acquittal. I cannot make a serious knowing comment about her guilt or innocence. I dont think she even made a statement to the press here.

I do not know if Amanda Knox has blood on her hands from an actual hands on killing but I'll bet her facial gesture inclusion was to show as so many other facial close ups have been shown to offer the viewer a visual of a REAL certain facial TELL. We are treated to very many pictures of these facial difficult to hide TELLS. This Knox one would have been very well checked by those who DO have this knowledge on the production team. Tim Roth [normally a very good actor in major supporting roles] whose gestures etc are beginning to annoy me is only an ACTOR voicing the lines written by a screen writer and did not actually look up Amanda Knox's video files himself.

To write a knee jerk defence of someone who's involvement or not in a very serious crime is questionable of that individuals perception of the real world.

Mind you I suppose in a land where death rows are full of men waiting [or have already married]to marry unknown sad women around the world I should not be surprised. I suppose its one way to get those [conjugal] visits.

As a series I am enjoying the overall plot. I tuned into this area because I noticed a movie that has Mellisa George in the starring role. When I saw her picture I realised that I had only seen her last night as the Billionaires wife accused of his murder. I thought I knew her face. I heard Tim Roths character proposition her in a way and now see that she is going to appear in a few more episodes. So we get to see more of Mr Roth's Tattoos or are they Lightmans?

As an add on I must say that if I was Cal Lightman I could not have a professional relationship with Foster. I would be near to being arrested every few minutes. Yeah I know that it would only happen once and my career would than be from one of those death row places.
