"We" is too many people and is actually limited to moviemaking, sci-fi writers in the early 30s of the past century were somewhat of the ludite because they saw all this technology and there tends to be fear of the new, but they foresaw even greater advancementes beyond what was taking place at the time and feared it even more, basically a fear of an unknown, so their works were warning author tracts to prevent that. They were great storytellers however and put great exploration of human nature on them. This quality made their readers love them and when they themselves became writers they would repeat the concepts and so forth, the concept has become ingrained in sci-fi, but in real life we do not fear robots...

Right now Japan is advancing robotic production, drones have been created, as many a robot, the roomba is a robot of sorts, Artificial Intelligence research is a biggie from every possible angle we have.

anyway, the text of my post was meant to convey how cringingly horrible that "culturally relevant" line of dialogue was(kind of amusing that nobody seems to get that).

reply

Oh... That is why you had those quotation marks! I didn't remember anyone saying that so I guessed using them was a mysterious mistake. Who said it? when?

reply

samuel l.jackson says it in the film(or maybe it was only in the trailer).

reply

oh yes he does, but I rather you go into details with your position

reply

uh,i don't have one. my purpose was to express personal pique about a really bad line of dialogue. i've done that. bye.

reply

oh ok

Yes that was a cringingly bad piece of dialogue, an attempt at trendiness that just ended up being another garbage line that fits the overall mediocrity of this film.

Because this robo is a *beep* cross between nolans batman.and tony starks iron man suit, just to remind the kids of something they may have seen that was actually decent.
