Stupid biggjaay, who cannot spell North Korea.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

reply

Man, the hillbillies are out in force... Yes, North Korea or any other country or extremist group who hates the US could and might well attack the US. Probably just not this way. Remember 9-11? And no doubt your retort would be "And now Bin Ladin's dead. U-S-A! U-S-A!" which would prove nothing since you said that it would be unrealistic for North Korea to attack the US simply because of the sheer size and strength of the country. No sir, the real question is how a redneck monkey like yourself came upon a computer and not only managed to power it up, but sign into IMDb and string together what could pass as a sentence.

reply

I'm more surprised that you could type some words.

reply

You don't even have a clue do you? Typical extremist liberal with nothing to show but ad hominem attacks upon another's person.

Yes, North Korea or any other country or extremist group who hates the US could and might well attack the US.

Individual sub-national attacks sure. ANY country is potentially exposed to such attacks. North Korea is not a sub-national entity however but a full out nation-state. It does not have the capability to attack the USA homeland. that is not an opinion. it is a fact.

Your opinions about 9/11 is best kept to your ignorant self.

Redneck monkey?
how can I even log on the net much less type?
LMAO!!!

I served in the United States Navy. Electronic Warfare. I intercepted and jammed radars for a living.
My ASVAB AFQT score was 88 meaning I was smarter than 88% of all others who took the test. (and no.. the test was not given to idiots only)

I go by facts, and my opinions are based upon those facts.

You go by your opinion regardless of facts. And those opinions are based upon nothing more than political ideology which is nothing but a substitute word for "fantasy"

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

reply

Easy Sailor!
I don't think Neighbour was attacking YOU.
As far as keeping his opinions on 9-11 to himself: THIS IS A MESSAGE BOARD. It's sole purpose is for the expression of opinions.
Also, it was stated that the invasion was a coalition of forces. The North Koreans just handled the Pacific North West.

reply

Easy Sailor!
I don't think Neighbour was attacking YOU.

I don't see how you can interpret his comment as anything other than a direct ad hominim upon myself.

to quote: "No sir, the real question is how a redneck monkey like yourself came upon a computer and not only managed to power it up, but sign into IMDb and string together what could pass as a sentence."

I will not go easy on some liberal piece of trash who attributes to others his own inadequacies.

And yes it is a message-board where opinions are bandied back and forth. I was a little over-simplistic with my "keep it to yourself" but it was just that I did not want to get so bothered into defending the whole anti-American bullsh!t and his caricaturization of me as some blind patriotic simpleton, which was spewing from his nether-hole. And even though everyone is entitled to an opinion, some opinions are best kept private.
He is little more than a troll and I will not go easy.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

I think he just doesn't know how the "reply" function works and wrote his reply to the main poster as a reply to you on accident... it wouldn't make any sense for him to call you a redneck for correcting someone's spelling.

LOL...

it wouldn't make any sense for him to call you a redneck for correcting someone's spelling.

Liberals, trolls, and dumbasses (the three are not mutually exclusive) don't have to make sense. In fact it is one of their defining characteristics.

Recently over on YouTube at a Video where two pilots ejected from a crashing Jet fighter trainer it was asked: "Was this a practice ejection?"
When I roundly corrected him about the Military not wasting multi-million dollar aircraft to "practice" ejection with the idiot responds with calling ME a "moron"

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

reply

You are perhaps the stupidest person on this board.

First, it looks like neighbourinblack was trying to reply to OP but made a mistake. You in your dense head couldn't figure that out on your own so you attacked him and call him a liberal extremist for saying NOTHING that is even liberal. How is thinking that N.Korea wouldn't be able to attack the US in the manner they did in the film but more like a 9/11 be a liberal (extremist) opinion? That actually sounds a bit more nationalistic, that the US is nearly untouchable, thus making his comment more conservative.

Also, you actually take youtube comments seriously? That's were retards, racist, and far right wingers post unless it's a music video. Even then, the retards and racist sometimes come out for those videos.

And your first post was to call the OP stupid for spelling North Korea wrong. It most likely was a typo or was done for trolling purposes but even if it wasn't, your stupid ass made some spelling and grammar mistakes too.

Now stop watching Sean Limbaugh O'Reilly on Fox News

p.s. My ASVAB AFQT score was 97.

reply

Liberals, trolls, and dumbasses (the three are not mutually exclusive)

Weren't you the one using "ad hominem attacks" as measure of a person's lack of credibility above, and yet just a few posts later it seems to be the essence of your own choice of behavior? How much sense does that make?

"I like to watch" Chauncey Gardiner, 'Being There'

reply

Actually, he is a Tea Partier, one of your kindred. All the dumbasses are on the GOP clown bus.

reply

I do think you have mistaken the comment as being one applying to you and then really have rather jumped in with both feet rather than perhaps saying, yes I see, it was addressed to the original poster who could not spell etc. It often happens on the internet (in effect a version of "you talking to me?") and then turning it into a general scattergun against liberals in general is kind of demonstrating that basically you don't like liberals anyway - regardless of whether they are insulting someone else or you (even though that post was not)

reply

Careful there now. Your prejudice, narrow mindedness, and hypocrisy is showing.

And, if you were even half as smart as you think you are, it would have been extremely obvious to you that neighbourinblack's reply was intended for OP, not you.

Sailor.
Most people click the respond button on the last message in the thread. Yes, they are using the message board incorrectly. Bottom line though, if you look at the body of Neighbour's message, it's referring to the statement made by the OP. Nowhere in his post does he mention you or the fact that you called out the OP for his misspelling of Korea. It's all in response to biggyjay's comment about the film being stupid because North Korea wouldn't attack us. Perhaps this was all lost on you because Limbaugh wasn't here to tell you how to interpret it.

FACT: He couldn't spell North Korea.

Supposition: It could easily have been a typo

Pointing out facts is not an ad hominem.

Whereas the attack upon me was made up falsehoods with no basis in reality. thus it was an ad hominem.

Calling someone stupid is an ad hominem however. Further, you had nothing to show in your first post. Instead of commenting on the meat of the OP's most (North Korea invading the US?), you instead chose to attack a simple misspelling and call the OP stupid. That's every sign of an ad hominem attack (which, by the way, isn't simply an insult, though insults are commonly part of ad hominem attacks). That you're unable to recognize this says a great deal about you.

In short, like so many far-right extremists, you're a hypocritical, whining manchild who throws temper tantrums and turns into an internet tough guy when you get what you dish out. This is made worse by the fact you're supposedly a Navy veteran, but have the discipline of a toddler. If you truly are a veteran, you're a disgrace to the uniform.

It'd be funnier if it weren't just so pathetic.

reply

Hipocrite? Maybe, but then so are you.

Or is not "Whining Manchild", "Temper Tantrums", "Discipline of a toddler", and "Disgrace to the uniform" not also ad hominems?

And it was not a typo, those are pretty easy to spot in a typed setting. Where an additional, incorrect, or out of order letter is NEXT TO the correct key. Being that "i" and "e" are separate parts of the keyboard, the i was not "accidental" and thus a typo.

In typing that last I made a typo... typing "thusd" which I then corrected. Note that the additional "d" is beside the correct letter "s" and my finger hit both by accident. THAT is a typo, not a misspelling. Koria is a misspelling.

I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!

reply

[deleted]

It's hypocrite. And the y isn't next to the i, so it's not a typo.

reply

FACT: he got other information wrong as well (USA the SECOND most powerful in the world?)

He got that one right. China is the most powerful nation in the world, Well they have 1.357 billion people by 2012 and most likely gained 20% more over these two years. They multiple like rabbits, they sell and produce most of the world products today(even American's brand have any if not all components from China if not completely made and assembled in China), and they got kung-fu When Po walks the earth U.S.A will kneel to China

North Korea does have the ability to attack the USA, that is a fact.

It could attack US forces in South Korea. It could attack US forces in Japan. It could attack the US Pacific Fleet. Or it could attack mainland USA.

There are many ways that North Korea could attack mainland USA:

1. Ballistic missiles. It is just a matter of time before it has ICBM's capable of reaching the USA direct, if not already. Current missiles could be fired from islands or ships closer to the USA.

2. Troops smuggled into the USA on ships or aircraft.

3. Ship-bombs in US ports.I would not be surprised if North Korea hasn't already placed nuclear bombs in US ports.

4. Submarines sinking US merchant ships.

5. Cyber attacks. Already done.

There are many other ways that Korea could inflict pain on the USA.

Your IQ does not mean that you know anything about North Korea's military capabilities, or America's inability to counter them.

reply

Thanks for playing just how stupid can you be.

North Korea does have the ability to attack the USA, that is a fact.
It could attack US forces in South Korea.

Of course it can. No one was stating it could not. We are discussing an Invasion of Mainland USA, not a military attack to other military forces along it's border.
That kinda went without saying, though apparently in your case it had to be said. Idiot.

It could attack US forces in Japan.

Not really. Oh yes.. they might pull off some specific attack, but then they'd get completely clobbered in response. They simply do not have the capacity or capability to pull off any large scale attack Other than a ground based attack across their land borders. An amphibious or air assault into Japan is out of the question. They might pull off one single sneak attack (Catching us with our pants down so to speak)doing negligible damage overall and suffer the loss of the planes doing it but after than we'd be on alert and no further attacks would be capable of succeeding.

It could attack the US Pacific Fleet.

Again.. see above.
They might pull off a single surprise attack against a single unit of the US Navy. Not because they snuck in and we did not know they were there. more like we knew they were there but did not expect them to attack. Military forces often pass in close proximity to each other, even unfriendly forces. It would be easy for them to make a known close pass to one of our ships and then suddenly attack without prior warning. The Military equivalent of a sucker punch. But that would be the end of it and within 48 hours the North Korean Navy would seize to exist.

Or it could attack mainland USA.

ROFLMAO!!!! HAAAHahahahaha...
Yeah... right.
Thanks for the laugh.
Lets tear that apart shall we..

1. Ballistic missiles. It is just a matter of time before it has ICBM's capable of reaching the USA direct, if not already. Current missiles could be fired from islands or ships closer to the USA.
North Korea does not have the ability to launch ICBMs from ships. Nor do they own or have access to "Islands closer to the US" The North Pacific is pretty sparse Island-wise and most all of them are owned by the Good 'Ol USA.

Current NorK Long range ICBM capabilities have them with a missile that could hit the Aleutian Islands (nothing there of note) And with a lot of luck and a strong tailwind () maybe... just maybe hit Hawaii.
And that is after the roughly 70% chance the damned thing explodes right on the pad.
Their CEP (Circular Error Probability) leaves a lot to be desired as well. Historically the Soviets always went with much larger Nuclear warheads than the USA. Why? Because their missiles were not as accurate. Our nukes, from half a planet away, would strike a specific city block. The Soviets would be glad just to hit the city, thus they used much larger nukes.

The North Koreans... even if the USA was within their range (not even close) they'd be lucky to hit the right state. And when that missile has nothing other than a conventional explosive warhead... not much of a real threat of than as a terror weapon, even less effective even if a great er range than Hitler's V2 program.

2. Troops smuggled into the USA on ships or aircraft.

ROFLMAO... Nope. Oh you can smuggle a small team of commandos in or something. but enough troops to put up a fight? No. Nor will you get all their TO&E smuggled in. A few hand weapons for a small group... but not the massive logistical set required for an invasion. It would be a token attack only.

3. Ship-bombs in US ports.I would not be surprised if North Korea hasn't already placed nuclear bombs in US ports.

î‚™

The North Koreans don't have fieldible Nukes.
They have managed to conduct exactly three tests. Each was technically a failure even though two of them did result in a nuclear chain reaction. They were still technically... Duds.

You need to grasp the concept of a "Test Device" vs an actual "weapon".
What they have exploded were three test devices.

these are something assembled by their scientists in the field under test/laboratory conditions, set up on a stand at a range and detonated in place in order to test their weapon design theories.

This is not something you can drop from a bomber, or strap into the nose of a missile. Nor even something portable enough to be smuggled in on a ship and set up and armed by some field agent.

And as I said... all tests to date have been duds.

The first Test was a complete dud. Resulting in a sub-kiloton yield of about 0.6 kt

The second managed to go off as a nuke but was a "fizzle" It failed to reach designed specifications and the critical mass literally blew itself apart before sustaining the high yield of a typical nuke. It's yield was 2 Kt.

The 3rd test was their best to date and resulted in a 4-6 kt yield. but was still for all intents and purposes a fizzle.

Every nation that has joined the Nuclear club, their first tests were on the order of 20+ kiloton yields. Mainly because a 20 something kiloton yield is the simplest easiest sort of nuke to make. You got enough nuclear material to have two parts come together and make a critical mass and "BOOM".

Scaling up is easy once you have a working design, until you get to about 150+ Kilotons. after that.. the two halves of radioactive material are themselves approaching critical mass and you would detonate just trying to assemble the weapon. After that you're talking Hydrogen bombs and nuclear fusion, not Fission. A whole 'nother set of technology to master.

To scale down from a 20 something kiloton yield also takes great skill, technology, and know how. Not something a fledgling nation still trying to develop a working design would have mastered. So their 2 Kt and 4-6 kt yields were not by design. Those sub optimal yields were not by design but rather by a failure of their weapon design.

Again... The NorKs do not have a working Nuclear weapon design.
They have enough material to create a handful of nuke had they the capability, and they are working on that capability. but they do not as of yet have a working design.

4. Submarines sinking US merchant ships.

LOL!!!!
The North Korean Navy is a joke. Even their subs. Again... like before, they would get away with one attack. then that sub would cease to exist within hours. withing the next 12 hours every NK Sub at sea would become a new artificial reef and within 48 hours, every sub in port would be destroyed pierside.

We have enough underwater sensor arrays that a NK Sub captain can't take a fart without our knowing it.
Again.. One suicidal sneak attack followed by complete destruction.

5. Cyber attacks. Already done.

OH my! A Hollywood film company got hacked..
It must be the end of the world!!!!


Your IQ does not mean that you know anything about North Korea's military capabilities, or America's inability to counter them.

MY IQ never even came up in conversation, or are you so Effing stupid as to think the posts above concerning the AFQT score on the ASVAB was the same as an IQ score?

And while my IQ (which tested as 142 BTW) does not mean I know of North Korea's Military capability or the USA's ability to counter them... MY job and training in the US Navy did! The EW team also acts as the Threat briefing team apprising the CO of expected threats and enemy capabilities. It is we that assemble the Order of Battle and need to know the enemy's capabilities. While I am no longer in, I still have plenty of contacts and friends that are and I like to keep myself as up to date as possible (barring security restrictions).
So yeah... That DOES qualify me.
A hell of a lot more than an armchair commando idiot such as yourself.

Also, RE: FlipcrackaE, I didn't say anything about an invasion and neither did the OP, even. He said attack. Actually, the United States is the #1 most powerful nation on Earth by statistics and rankings. It's us, then Russia, then China. And China does have more manpower than we do, but we still have an immense amount of manpower - over 1.4 million - and we have the technological advancements, plus the equipment to round it all out. More than 8,300 tanks, over 15,000 aircraft and a Navy so powerful that our 11+ aircraft carriers alone - by far, the most in the world - make us the undisputed king of the sea...

reply

geopolitical analysts have said that the US is the only superpower in the world. like what was said before, we have the most powerful navy and one of the strongest, most advanced armies in the world. yes china has more soldiers, but those soldiers are pointless in battle if you have no navy to deploy and support them overseas.

also, the current US military expenditure is larger than the combined expenditure of China, Russia, UK, and France.

the US also has hundreds of nuclear missiles in its arsenal. the only other nation with that many nuclear weapons is Russia.

reply

I agree. And Russia is actually #2 in military strength overall. There's no denying, no matter how much our detractors try to, that the United States military is still the single most awesome fighting force on the face of the Earth. And despite the way I put that, I wasn't being arrogant: It's a statistical fact...

The US undisputedly has the most advanced and most funded army. However in theory it is partly owned by the Chinese through public debts.
