Fulfills the criteria for Independent Feature Films

1) Poorly lit scenes? CHECK
2) Drawn out scenes with conversations that seem to go nowhere? CHECK
3) Conversations about things unnecessary to the storyline? CHECK
4) Under 2 hours in length yet feels like it's 5 hours? CHECK

Study this film. Fulfill the checklist in your own script and you will be nominated for every independent film award.

Hahahahahaha you forgot to add a couple:

5) the shaky handheld camera work
6) that the majority of the cast were white
7) a scene that takes place in a coffee shop where there are people playing acoustic guitar

That's what I thought about this film too lol ! It really does have all the makings to be an " Independent film " for channels like SUNDANCE or IFC . I was surprised it wasn't one . You and kingl8619 have summed up the checklist just right . Thanks james676 for your subject post .
