Fiction...only to the mind controlled drones who cant see past 'actors'

Hello, after a long hiatus I am back giving a rundown on movies from a different POV. I really could give a damn about how great the actors were or weren't. It is the screenwriters who have something to say the actors are just the money-hungry elites that for some reason you have all put up on this holier than thou pedastal. They don't matter in the movie--it could have been (and was) monkeys playing the parts.

We should look at the actual meat of the movie and consider it rather than criticize it. For those of you who think this is "too unbelievable to be true" in the USArmy I would have to say it probably isn't. Unfortunately, what the army is most definitely still using from this New Age special force is more what you see at the end of the movie when they speak about MKULTRA. Mind control techniques seen in this movie are VERY real and far more extreme than Barney songs. The US Army found a way to silence the "Jeff Bridges" of the troops by taking their ideas and using them for exactly the opposite of what it was meant for in the first place. The techniques that most people see as too far out there or weird are actually very possible and in fact what we should be doing in our lives on a daily basis. Why can't we do the things seen in this movie in our own lives? Because we listen to the same people that write on these boards about how aweeessssooommmmeee George Clooney was or how this is purely fictional. Why do you people think this is fictional? Because heaven forbid someone in the army thought of a non-violent way to stop war with peace? That doesn't sound ridiculous at all to someone who understands what our mind actually is capable of doing. Why do we only use 5% of our brains? Bc people cannot see past this facade of so called acting that these overpaid mind-controlled drones are praised for. Nevermind Clooney or any other actor in this movie, they simply act like they did the best work of their lives and we agree or disagree when that should not even be an issue. The real art is the writing and the real hard work probably came when someone pitched this idea. Most likely he or she was shot down many times before someone like me actually understood the significance of a group like this. It is not a coincidence and certainly not fictitious that Jedi powers have been introduced to us more than twice in popular movies. It is because they are proving to you that you won't believe them even if they put it in the sparkling eyes of Clooney. Not until you people wake up and see the reality that could be if we took a hint from the very real man who tapped into his other 95% of his brain in the hopes of making the world a more peaceful place. The US army will never make projects like this public because then we would be trying it in our own homes and learning things that they do not want us to learn. This is the exact reason why most Americans think it is not real because the powers we seem to think we elected refuse to back any real ideas such as this. If they told us we could have "Jedi" powers they would have no power over us. Maybe if more people opened their mind to these zanyyyyyyyyy ideas we would have some real say in what goes on between our ears. Until then, I refuse to let Clooney be my rep. This movie was eye opening and I plan on researching the actual documentation of such routines and exercises so I can use them to free my mind into what I want it to be and hopefully break through some of the programming "they" have spent so long to create in us to make us so oblivious.

Bob Frissel has a few good books out there that will blow your mind--especially if you are open to thinking about everything a human is REALLY capable of and how far behind we could possibly be. If you really get into it, he even offers seminars and workshops.
David Icke opened my eyes to the "real" world. He has alot of good, comprehensive books about the wide array of conspiracies throughout human history. His books are a pretty entertaining read--much less dry--than other metaphysical/new age books available. He also ties different concepts and theories together to what he calls "the global conspiracy".
Overall though, I believe everyone can have very different journeys to the same realization of "true human reality" and what is truly possible when we stop thinking things are impossible.
Exercise-wise, I would have to say the most meaningful guidelines to follow in terms of faith and spirituality come from Buddhism and Confucianism. However, religious beliefs and traditions are the hardest roadblocks to open your mind to simply because the influence of religion has been around for such a long time. I suggest experiencing and trying to learn about as many different religions as you can--you will see they are far more alike--AND USELESS--than what we are made to believe.
But, don't just believe everything you come by--those thoughts and ideas are unique to that person. We are all supposed to be different--every single person. However, ignorance and rejection from others have turned us into programmed replicas of public opinion.
Take back your control over your mind and body--you will find your own answers and point of view of the world.

LOL @ 'David Icke opened my eyes to the real world'.

They don't come any crazier than Icke. The only mystery is, how he is still allowed to walk free, instead of being in a hospital.

Why is this movie attracting so much attention from conspiracy nuts?

Because he is likely a dis-info plant whose job is to discredit genuine investigators of elitist corruption by contaminating facts with his "reptilian" BS.

Because it is littered with symbolism universally used by the ruling elite.

Originality needs a reboot.

That's good and I'm sure they appreciate your appreciation. ;)

appreciation
— n
1. thanks or gratitude
2. assessment of the true worth or value of persons or things
3. perceptive recognition of qualities, as in art
4. an increase in value, as of goods or property
5. a written review of a book, etc, esp when favorable

Following that definition, my "appreciation" to this movie--not the actors--is completely accurate to anyone who truly understands the power of the ideas behind this movie. George Clooney gets my appreciation when his acting ADDS OR ENHANCES THE MOVIE. Here, he does neither. Wait...maybe he managed to get it showed in more cities to more people...
That doesn't help ME much...he should appreciate me, and the other people like me, because we actually bought a movie ticket to something starring him. 95 % of the struggling actors in this country alone could have performed just as well.
There ARE some times an actor or actress MAKES a movie what it comes to be--albeit, far and few between--and that is an appropriate time to give them their praise and accolades.
My point is that acting is only ONE tiny fraction of what creates a movie. In my opinion, MANY people who enjoy criticizing other peoples' opinions of movies, music, books, art, politics, etc, etc, etc..., tend to hone in on the most conventional and obvious components of a movie. The fault I see in this is that there are unthinkable amounts of opinions daily that influence your "personal opinion" about the movie as a whole. For example, independent movies become increasingly more popular around Academy Award nom. time when they are mentioned--that is also applicable to studio pictures with nominations as well. Miraculously, all of a sudden, half of America loves the movie too! Possible? Absolutely! Probable? Doubtful. I would bet money on the fact that of the 99% of the people that go to see the movie following that scenario, more people will exit liking it. Unfortunately, the majority of those opinions will be based on: your evaluation of the movie based on hearsay popular opinion + amount of award nominations + your likability of the actors/director - an unbiased starting opinion of the movie +/- etc, etc, etc......
My point is that the only way a person can form an opinion on a film--or anything else in the world--is to look at it from ALL possible points of view. The more knowledgeable a person is to the many nuances of the ART of film, the more able they are to assess it as "good" art or "bad art". ART--which is what movies actually are at the core--is what creativity produces. ART is what happens when an artist expresses THEIR PERSONAL OPINION--SYMBOLICALLY--through more concrete means of communication(from the time when symbols became the main form of communication up to the present-day) to elicit ANY response or reaction or opinion by its audience. It is essentially a symbolic way of expressing the artist's personal opinion and feelings about some realm of the world we live in. Take what you want from it--just let other people do the same. There are no rights or wrongs in an interpretation of art--every person SHOULD and SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO have any opinion they want without being told they are wrong.
This movie states my opinion perfectly:
Lyn Cassady: Once you understand the linkage between observation and reality then you begin to dance with invisibility.
Bob Wilton: Like camouflage.
Lyn Cassady: No, it's not like camouflage.
We camouflage our ability to TRULY think freely with what the consensus thinks--no one should control your mind but YOU.

Well Sammi, it's my opinion that you should be told you're wrong, so as you think I should be allowed to have any opinion I want, why are you hypocritically telling me not to tell you you're wrong?

I don't hate George Clooney. I actually don't hate any actor. I just don't see/understand why he is making millions while great actors are struggling.

That's all.

I loved this movie/concept/writing/book.....not the actors

Actors are the ones who visually present the screenwriter's stories... no matter what a screenwriter wants to get across to the public, it's the actors who "tell" the story... they certainly deserve some credit for the success or failure of a film... while you might not care for George Clooney, or understand why he's making millions while "great" actors are struggling, a lot of people like him just fine and don't have a problem with him earning his millions.

... the hardest thing in this world is to live in it...

reply

100% agreed. Just stating my opinion & unfortunately, an opinion can't just be an opinion without getting criticism.

I don't know why it is that way--it just has turned into that.

My opinion of the film as a whole is--and always will be--made based upon all aspects of a film. Not just actors or directors or cinematography or etc.

When I say I didn't like Clooney in this role, it is based upon the fact that, IN MY OPINION, the studio was looking to appeal to a larger audience rather than choosing the BEST actor possible for a role as poignant as this.

People may agree or disagree, that's fine. However, an opinion is just that--so let mine be.

reply

Are you discounting the fact that he (Clooney) was one of the originators of the project along with his close collaborator in Grant Heslov. Clooney wasn't forced onto the project by the studio as you seem to believe. If anything, his presence and clout was the main catalyst in getting the film made.

If they studio was 'looking to appeal to a larger audience', the film would never have been made at all. It's just not an 'audience' movie, name actors or not.

The only good thing about this movie is that it has George Clooney in it.
He was aaaaawwwweeeesssssooooommmmmmeeee in it.
The story was totally unbelievable and obviously based on lies and fantasies of dorks who wish they had 'super-powers' so that they can overcome their deep insecurities about how pathetic they TRULY know they are. This same self-loathing at the truth of their patheticness is what drives a deeeeeeeeep hatred of any beloved movie star who is someone that has actually DONE something with their life AND (and this is the part that hurts the dork the most) is LOVED by many. Why? Because most dorks are also totally hideous trolls and goblins that are not attractive at all. As opposed to someone like George Clooney. it's just jealousy and envy. "I should be getting all that adoration!" They feel that having 'super-mind-powers' would make them special and thus, deserving of the adoration that a good looking actor receives.

The movie is based on a book (which is much better than the movie), which is based on a lot of truth. Most of the characters in the movie are real.

"is LOVED by many"

You cannot love someone you've never met, it's nothing but superficial admiration.

It's interesting that you rate actors so highly, it shows complete vanity and emptiness ('dorks and goblins') on your part, why not love and admire scientists, doctors, engineers, nurses, you know, the people who actually to something to tangibly improve our lives? I quite like a lot of actors and I've been haunted/inspired/blown away by many of their performances but, ultimately, they are not doing anything of any greatness, they are just a distraction from our ordinary lives.

Are you mentally all there? I know, I know... you use big words and are deep but are you sure your not part retard?

You lost ANY respect I might have had for your rambling, George Clooney hating speech when you wrote that people only use 5% of their brain. I believed that too, when I was about 7years old. Go have a look at a thing called science, instead of listening to some psuedo scientific nobody.

Yeh go ahead, go get cancer and tell me how well you fight it off with 'your mind'. Wait your just like ever other lunatic crack pot who upon getting a disease runs scared to the doctor asks to be fixed and then your so delusional you attribute your getting better to your faith in religion, the power of your mind, ancient medicines... BLAH BLAH BLAH.

I actually have sympathy for you, you are an obviously gullible person who has been taken advantage of. Reminds me of scientologists and how they are blatantly brain washed.

Before you reply please know this: I actually meditate!!! I like how it makes me feel, yet I know that is simply the brain releasing chemicals into my blood stream from an extreme state of calm. No psychic processes or me 'awakening' parts of my brain, just good old fashioned chemicals. I am begging you too do some research about the 5% percent of the brain statement, it has been so widely disproved by every legitimate scientist it is a joke that some ruthless people try and use that as 'proof' about their beliefs.

Ps: I do beleive their is untapped potential of the human brain, such as: lucid dreaming (which I have experienced on occasion), happy thinking (which releases certain chemicals in the blood that do some 'miracoulous' things) but you cant simply go against something as solid as peer reviewed science with false 'facts'.

"I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal."

reply

Thank god someone pointed out the '5% of our brains!' *beep* A quick explanation because I highly doubt he'll ever go look that up, it doesn't fit into this view on the world, so therefore it is not relevant.

We use an average of 10% at any given time. Just the same as we only use a certain amount of muscles in our body during a specific activity, playing tennis will use a specific set of muscles, sitting on my arse typing will use a specific set of muscles, obviously far less (unfortunately for most of us) than playing tennis. The brain will use certain parts to calculate arithmetic, certain parts to imagine a woman sitting on a horse, certain parts to correct mad strangers on the interwebs, and so on. It is impossible to use '100% of the brain' at any given time, it has evolved to be as efficient as possible. Having the thing on full power the whole time would use up a massive amount of energy, we would never have survived to get to this stage if it had been this way.

reply

That 5-10% of the brain thing AGAIN?
I was gonna point that out. I also think it has somethng to do with glial cells, too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroglia

reply

I get what you're saying and agree somewhat, but you're kind of missing a few key ingredients. First, I have to point out, we use roughly 94-97% of our brains at a time. We'll usually use the entire 100% throughout a day. When people say "we only use such-and-such amount of our brains," it is a fallacy of many different origins. Psychics say they have the ability to tap into more than 10% and that is why they have the ability to do supernatural things. Also, there's a theory that only 10% of the brain has been mapped. Most likely however, is that you're only consciously aware of 5-7% of what is going on at the moment, while 90% or so is implicit (subconscious). Before reacting to this, realize that I'm a Clinical Mental Health Professional. You can look up thoughts about the percentages used, Google is nice for that. Also, people thinking about the wrong things isn't the reason we have violence. Read Jon Ronson's new book "The Psychopath Test." It is a very easy read and gives some ideas on why (and who's fault) we don't have peace.

how did you braindead F@#$ers manage turn the op's somewhat insightful comments into a debate about george clooney

from what i gather he was making two crucial and significant points:

1. Every single actor including but not limited to Clooney is irrelevant to the creative dimensions of the movie, they are simply a tool used and exploited by writers and directors, being spoon fed lines and how best to deliver them, as such they do not deserve praise for being a vehicle for someone else's ideas

2. This film is labelled "fiction" only because it does not adhere to the established norms of what we are made to and told to believe, whilst there may be clear instances of exaggerated hollywood romanticism of this story, its substance remains believable. Im not saying to take this film as fact but what myself and the op i believe are trying to convey is the fact that anyone who spits chips and labels this film pure fiction without a 2nd thought are buying into/are a part of the very system the film tries to oppose

reply

As I always say - best to start your speech by badmouthing and by insulting your audience. Kinda makes them feel they can expect some strong reasoning to follow the cussing...

Now to your 'crucial' points:

1) Plain stupid. Plays and movies are the combination of the talents of the writer, director and actors, etc. This is... elementary.

2) It's not that there are no conspiracies.... it's the large numbers of average minds who adopt stupid conspiracy theories and completely insane prophets (like David Icke, who is simply grotesque in his lunacy), just as their ancestors would adopt religions and follow crazy (and/or just manipulative) religious leaders.

You do not understand world politics, or conspiracy, or why you are and will forever remain a sheep. A sheep with a loud squeaky bark. Ranting about inlluminati and what not, pagan rituals in the woods by the moonlight, pseudo-scientific myths....

Because, you know, in any democracy, idiots are always the majority.

Actually, the typically stated percentage of our brain-power which we actually use is ten percent; however, in reality, we use 100% of our brains.
