Why do they ruin these films with drag queens?
You have an otherwise naturalistic film in real locations with appropriately-cast actors, and then you have this stupid gimmick with a campy drag performer playing the mother (and, to make it even more of a gimmick) her male fiance. It completely blows the reality. I love drags in the right part in the right movie, but what the hell went on here? They did the same thing in "Grief," but at least that was a comedy.
