Is there an unrated version?

Posters for the film--full 112-minute version--list a rating of "R" as does IMDb. The Regent/Here! DVD box and disc label say "Unrated" and the film on the disc runs 117 minutes. So far, so good. But on the disc, the film is still preceded by the logo "This motion picture is rated 'R'" on a blue screen blue screen. If this is a longer version than the theatrical one, is that "R" logo there by mistake--as this can't be the one they rated? Any ideas? Thanks.
