This is a very enjoyable film. How is it rated only 1.8?
I just watched this film and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm surprised that 138 people rated it 1.8/10 overall.
Possibly the low rating is due to the fact that there were no shootings, car crashes or gang activity involved in this film. There was only the lifestyle trappings of successful families trying to perpetuate their success.
The main character worked hard and tried to become the first black partner of his white law firm. He later learned that it is better to follow his own definition of success rather than another person's definition. I guess people just don't go for films with this type of existential theme and it's a pity.
If you don't care for the middle-class prosperity plot, this film is worth watching for the beautiful actresses featured in it.
