SAW 6 IS THE BEST INSTALLMENT OF THE SAW SERIES!

People say that the original is the best, for obvious reasons. But I believe Saw 6 is AT LEAST the best sequel to come from the original film. Everything is so paced magnificently and the story itself alone is pretty amazing.

They should have ended the series here with Hoffman dying in the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0, opposed to what we were delivered as the end (Saw 3D). It would have been the quite epic finish. Oh well.

I think SAW II is the best sequel, but SAW VI is definitely the next best, IMO. It flowed so good, had great actors, some of the best traps through the whole movie since SAW III. This one is definitely right up there with the better sequels, it's just a shame it didnt do as well as it should have.

I totally agree! This one is my favorite, followed so closely by 2, then 1. From best to worst I'd say:

6
2
1
4
3
7
5

I believe 6 is the best as well, Hoffman really is great.

Saw 6 is definetly the best and as far as I'm concerd saw 7 does not exist and saw 6 ended with Hoffman dieing!

Although I do like Saw 2 as well I totally agree with you about ending the series with the 6th installment. I would have been much much more satisfied if that were the case even though did enjoy seeing Dr. Gordon return in 7.

you people who claim to love hoffman would really have liked it to end with that stupid woman getting the upper hand on him? and never going back to dr. gordon?
The scene in the police station with hoffman in part 7 is one of his more cooler moments and the 3d was pretty good in theatres.

2nd best for me, 3 is my favorite :)

VI is my favourite Saw movie. Has been ever since I saw it on the 23rd of October 2009. The nostalgia I have for this movie and the lead-up to it, you have no idea.

It's only ninety minutes long yet it feels longer. They make such good use of their time it's ridiculous. There is such a good balance between traps, Hoffman's story, Jill's story, William's background and John's history. The traps have meaning, they're interesting and they are emotionally draining for William. Peter Outerbridge is by far my favourite protagonist. He truly earned by respect. By the end you can see how it has all taken its toll on him and how worn down he is.

The twists, how could I forget the twists? What I liked is how they made up for Saw V's weaker twist (while the Fatal Five twist was better than the main one, it didn't really do much for the grand scheme,) by having strong and multiple twists in VI. And they start early on. Within the first ten minutes I was saying "Oh shít!" under my breath.

Hoffman is my favourite character in Saw. Hell, he's one of my all-time favourite movie characters. Look at my username. The fact that he is so heavily involved in Saw VI obviously tipped the scales more towards my favour. The ending is one of my favourite scenes of all time. William's twist. The reveal of that old trap, Hoffman's last scene. Wow, my heart was going haywire. And the fact that Hoffman comes out of it the way he did....could I leave the cinema any other way than in pure delight?

I completely agree with everything you say, well apart from Hoffman I kinda disliked the dude but that was just becuase he pouted his lips all the time, Iv seen it Saw VI three times now and I swear I love it more each time. God I wish I had seen this at the cinema. And you're competely right about the traps, its one of the things I love so much about Saw VI they all have emotional value which just makes them so much worse then just gory.

Pointing me out on spelling is just one hell of a poor argument..

It's the only one I still watch.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I truly feel like Saw 6 was a bit underappreciated, at least when it first came out in theaters. It had the lowest box office rating, and it was very disappointing to hear that with the fact that it was probably one of the most superior Saw films that show what a Saw film SHOULD be and should be all about.

The twists in this one were endless too...from Amanda's, being revealed to be connected to John's son's death years ago, to having been blackmailed in the entire 3rd movie, to Tara and Brent not being related to William at all, the story's twists were all great and really paid a kind homage to the revelations we felt in the first two Saws.

But overall, it was the pacing and multiple storylines (that did not overwhelm the movie like Saw 4 did) that really made it well and clear.
