Defending my son my son

Not sure why this movie gets so much hate on here, but people all have different tastes and whatnot and i wouldn't hold it against anyone. I must say i thoroughly enjoyed this film, i went into it with no preconceptions and was awed by its mystifying beauty and surreal horror. It touches on the topic of alienation in such a perfect way that i found myself relating with it and took away a lot after the movie was finished. I must say i was moved by this movie in a way that i haven't been in a long time. At the end of the day it's not a bad film and people shouldn't be discouraged from watching it.

I love "My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done".
Although I did not get much intelctual or psychological knowledge out of it but it was a unique experience. For me the film is inspiring, weird, hilarious with great acting and a very good score. I can watch it again and again. :)

It´s easy to defend - such a chilling, occasionally hilarious and universally well acted movie (in fact, it´s worth seeing for Michael Shannon´s amazing performance alone - or for the brilliant use of soundtrack, for that matter). Just saw it for the 4th time and it´s better than ever; even threatens to conquer Herzog´s top 6 as far as I´m concerned. Pure masterclass in offbeat filmmaking.
